12, 2004 - New song - New Journal entry
There
are so many people cast out into the streets by an uncaring society.
I've watched otherwise decent people treat our homeless like so much
trash. Another Man's Blues is loosely based
on a true story. I wrote it to point out that our homeless brothers
and sisters are people too.
Larry
Spears quoted my journal entry about the Greenleaf
Center. Thank you Larry!
August
7, 2004 - New poem
The
Tree House was written for a very special friend, who had asked,
"If you started a treehouse club and could only invite three members,
who would you pick? What would the sign say on the door?" This
free verse was my answer, one which, while surprising, entertained and
delighted her to no end. It was originally intended to be private but
she encouraged me to place it here so that others could enjoy it, and
I do so in honor of her.
